Vintage Candy, Vintage Gumball Machines for Your Vending Routes
Vintage Candy and Vintage gumball machines are usually very intriguing to both new and existing bulk vending route operators. It's really interesting seeing these classic vending machines. You can find some that are over 40 years old, including Northwestern and Beaver vending machines.
Be careful though about using too many of these machines on your bulk vending routes. Carefully evaluate each machine before you purchase one fo real use as an income-producing asset on your bulk vending route. They're great to look at but may be ineffective for real use in today's time.
Vintage Candy and Vintage Gumball Machine Tips:
1. These machines can be easily purchased off Ebay, in pawn shops, and in many antique stores if you are interested in collecting them.
2. Check the coin mechanisms. Many will only accept dimes, nickels or pennies. At today's product prices, they will be a money loser!
3. Watch about using glass globes. Many of these will have glass globes and could be dangerous in certain situations (I have some glass globes now but am careful where I put them.)
4. If the machine has plastic (plexiglass type globes) check to make sure they are not "yellowed" out and discolored.
5. Check to make sure you can get parts!!! The machine may be so old parts are no longer made for it.
Vintage candy and vintage gumball machines can be used on your route, but be careful what you buy and how much you pay. It's one thing to buy one for nostalia, but another thing to buy one to use as a money-making salesman for you. Do your homework!
